Custom 404 Error Pages
If you want to have your Error 404 page customised like this, just follow this simple tutorial!
First, create your custom 404 page. It could have an image on it or just plain text. Once you have made it save it as 404.html. Then open up your .htaccess file and type this right up the top above everything else:
ErrorDocument 404 http://www.yoursite.com/404.html
You will need to change http://www.yoursite.com to your actual site. Then, save both 404.html and .htaccess if you haven't done so already and upload them both to your root directory. (your root directory is usually /home/yourdomain/public_html/)
Once you have done that, test out your custom 404 page by going to a page that doesn't exist like http://yoursite.com/sefushkfnksud.html or whatever.
